This November Amazing Moves will be participating in Coats for Colorado. Join in a long-standing tradition of keeping Colorado warm by donating to Coats For Colorado.

We will be collecting coats during moves and can always schedule a pick-up Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s or Thursday’s.

We will deliver collected coats to Dependable Cleaners who will distribute to charitable organizations, homeless shelters and thousands of Coloradans in need.

This week we thought it would be fun to introduce our outstanding sales team! They all work so hard, and we thought it may be nice to put a face to your estimator.

Lucas Rougé – Lucas is one of our original employees. He has been with the company since 2003! Lucas started as a mover, driver, crew chief, to a Sales Associate, and has been our Sales Manager for the last few years. In his spare time he enjoys playing on our company basketball team and playing kickball.

Move for Hunger is a hunger relief organization that works with relocation companies to collect extra food from people who don't need it, and deliver it to food banks all across North America.

As a moving company we decided a way to give back to the community is coming together to raise awareness and help those in need. We have been collecting from our clients, employees and local businesses to help. Since starting this program in May we have donated 900lbs to Rocky Mountain Food Bank. Our goal for 2014 is to donate 1000lbs! We are almost there!

Keep an eye out for our employees wearing Pink shirts in October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are currently holding a contest for the movers to take pictures during moves. So, if you are moving with us this month you may be asked to or see the guys snap a quick picture of their hard work in progress!

Organizing your move by having a planner specifically designated for your moving needs will save you time, energy, and possibly money. You should create your plan at least one month before your move, and organize it into the following categories:

  • Checklists - Find an online printable checklist/form that you can use as a guide to know what needs to be done before, during, and after your move.
  • Utilities - Use this section to keep track of utility contracts, paperwork and more. List contact information and appointments, and make appointments well in advance.
